Ultraviolent Roundtable: Inside The Combat Zone
Variations
When a company has been around as long as Combat Zone Wrestling there are bound to be stories of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. In July 2013 our cameras sat down with former wrestler and head trainer Jon Dahmer, former referee and booker/talent coordinator Derek Sabato, and current wrestler Greg Excellent as they discussed the Combat Zone's storied history. Their combined time with CZW spans the entire existence of the company and here they take you behind the curtain, discussing all aspects of CZW like never before.
Nothing is off limits as they discuss what it was like to work for and against John Zandig, both during the company's early and peak years, as well as topics we weren't even aware of, such as early events promoted in 1998, running events and having them shut down, as well as how and why some wrestlers were and were not brought into the company.
Other topics included CZW's debut in the Arena for "Cage of Death 3," running against Xtreme Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Unplugged, successes and failures of the Ring of Honor/CZW feud in 2006, plus personal thoughts on talent both past and present that not all panel members can agree on, favorite personal moments, as well as locker room stories and mishaps.
Not just for fans of CZW, this roundtable will open your eyes and expose the inner workings of running an independent wrestling company. The panelists hold nothing back in this 7 hour discussion.
